Štefan Papčo graduated from The Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. His work has been exhibited in Europe and USA, with solo shows at Zahorian & Van Espen, Kunsthalle Kosice, Bratislava City Gallery in Slovakia, Galerie Die Aktualität des Schönen…, Regional Gallery in Liberec/ Czech Republic and others. Group exhibitions include Chabah Yelmani Gallery in Brussels, Constitution Hill in Johannesburg, Slovak National Gallery in Bratislava, Palazzo Vittoriano in Rome, Modem in Debrecen and others. He was an artist in residence at Residency Unlimited in Brooklyn, USA, (2013), Triangle Arts Association, New York, USA, (2011), Florli, Norway (2009). He was awarded by Novum Foundation 2015, Tatra Bank Foundation Art Award 2013 – Young Artist, Best Open Studio and DAF Grand Prize 2011, Dumbo Arts festival, New York, USA Public collections include: Museum Caldic Collectie in Netherlands, Aegidius Collection in Luxembourg, Slovak National Gallery, Cyprián Majerník Gallery, Liptov Gallery of Peter Michal Bohúň, Bratislava City Gallery in Slovakia and Trebesice castle collection in Czech Republic. Papčo is represented by Zahorian & Van Espen Gallery (Bratislava, Prague) and Chabah Yelmani Gallery (Brussels) .
