Rosanna Rossi was born in 1937 in Cagliari, where she lives and works. After completing her artistic studies in Rome, she returned to the island in 1958 and began her early experiences within Studio 58, developing an expressive figurative language infused with material suggestions. In the following decade, her research shifted toward abstraction, combining the use of color with signs rooted in Informal art. Subsequent developments – despite periodic incursions into the realm of the ready-made – maintain this dual approach, balancing a constructive order of Concrete art derivation with material and expressive solutions linked to Neo-Informal abstraction.
