Samara Colina
Samara Colina is a visual artist whose practice explores the aesthetic, political, and symbolic dimensions of public space, with a focus on reinterpreting collective events shaped by contemporary historical conditions. Her work examines how shared experiences are constructed, remembered, and transformed within the social landscape.
She holds an MFA in Artistic Production (MaPA Visual) from the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Morelos (2022) and a BA in Visual Arts from the Universidad de Guanajuato (2018). Colina has received multiple recognitions, including acquisition awards at the “Encuentro Nacional de Arte Joven” in 2020 and 2022, Third Prize at the 8th International Biennial of University Visual Art (2021), and a PECDA Guanajuato grant (2021).
