Kim Seong-youn

First director of the Museum of Contemporary Art Busan (MoCA Busan), a public art museum established by Busan Metropolitan City in 2017, he is a member of Executive Committees of 2018 Busan Biennale which will be held in MoCA Busan in September.
From 1999-2011, Seong-youn Kim led an alternative art movement in Busan. He established the first local alternative space in 1999 where he curated over 100 exhibitions focusing on emerging artists. He ran international residency programs, public art projects, and education programs and directed Busan International Video Art Festival for a decade. He also published a monthly magazine, <B-Art>. Moreover, he participated as Guest Curator of Busan Biennale 2010, Visual Arts Director of Moving Triennale 2014, and Executive Art Director of PyeongChang Biennale 2017.
