g. olmo stuppia (1991 Sicily, Milan) is a sculptor and author who explores the intersection of art and film. His practice draws on alchemy, classical epic poetry and culture, and utilizes archetypes and visionary inclusive environments. He is a political activist interested in the care of the island territory. In 2015 he directed the experimental medium-length film “Tre” (prod. IIC Paris and BLM Fond.), an dreamlike trip from Milan to Paris, getting lost in the Landscape. In 2017, he founded Cassata Drone, an itinerant media agency based in Palermo. Stuppia’s work has been exhibited at La Biennale di Venezia in 2022 and 2023, La Triennale di Milano in 2021, Venice Art Factory SPARC in 2021, Institut National d’Histoire de l’Art in 2019, Fond. Sandretto in 2016, and Fond. Bevilacqua La Masa in 2016. His first extended catalog, “Tenebra” c/by E. Gremmo, was published by Postmedia Books, Milan, in 2022. Stuppia earned a MA in Visual Arts from IUAV with A. Vettese, where he held a short fellowship “AltroVe” in 2019. He’s a freelance contributor for Universal Cinema, Engramma, Mousse Magazine, Artribune, Exibart, Kabul Magazine. He lives and works in the Venice Lagoon and is part of the Autonomist Libertarian movement of Paris and Milan.
