Roberta Tenconi is Curator at Pirelli HangarBicocca, Milan, where she recently edited Petrit Halilaj’s personal “Space Shuttle in the Garden” and “GDM – Grand Dad’s Visitor Center “by Laure Prouvost. The upcoming projects include exhibitions by Rosa Barba and Matt Mullican and a re-edition of the collective “Take Me (I’m Yours)”, originally curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist and Christian Boltanski at the Serpentine Gallery in London in 1995. Part of the curatorial team of the 55th Venice Biennale “Il Palazzo Enciclopedico”, in which she was Assistant curator for artistic research and special projects, between 2006 and 2015 she worked at Fondazione Nicola Trussardi as Assistant curator and responsible for special projects , organizing and collaborating in various exhibitions of international artists including, Jennifer Allora & Guillermo Calzadilla, Pawel Althamer, Tacita Dean, Peter Fischli and David Weiss, Cyprien Gaillard, Paul McCarthy, Paola Pivi, Pipilotti Rist, and Tino Sehgal and the collective ” The Great Mother “. Parallel to the development of various independent curatorial projects, he co-curated the exhibition “Homework”, a project of the Fourth Berlin Biennial (2006), for which he also collaborated with the curatorial team, and was Visiting Curator at Gertrude Contemporary Art Spaces in Melbourne (2006). He has contributed to several exhibition catalogs, publishing projects for Hatje Cantz, Mousse Publishing and Skira and written for magazines such as “Abitare”, “Mousse”, “Domus”, “Flash Art” and “Muse”. He regularly holds seminars and interventions in various institutions, including the University of Milan, Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, and Il Sole 24 Ore Business School.
