Virginie Chardin is a freelance curator based in Paris focusing on the history of photography. She has curated “Willy Ronis in Paris” and “Paris in Color, from the Lumière Brothers to Martin Parr” at the Paris City Hall; “Images of a Capital” at the Folkwang Museum in Essen; “Denis Darzacq” at the Pavillon Carré de Baudoin; “Pierre de Fenoÿl, an Imaginary Geography” and “Sabine Weiss” at the Jeu de Paume-Château de Tours and “Antonin Personnaz” at the Fine Arts Museum in Rouen. She has been a project leader at the Nicéphore-Niépce Museum, head of the Rencontres d’Arles awards and delegate for Paris Photography Month.
