Workneh Bezu Kassa

Workneh Bezu Kassa was born in 1978 in Ethiopia and currently lives and works in Addis Ababa. He began drawing at a very young age, taking lessons in elementary school and showing great artistic ability, before enrolling at the Addis Ababa University School of Fine Art and Design. Workneh experiments with various art forms, including painting, sculpture, graphics, and video.

Later, the artist shifted his focus from circles to female figures. His works often depict mothers and children, exploring their emotional connection and expressing a wide range of human emotions such as sadness, joy, frustration, and more.
