Abdulrahman Zainal
Born in Dubai, 1951 and lives in Dubai
Abdulrahman Zainal took a bachelor of Fine Arts from Cairo College of fine Arts (1978) and attended post-graduate studies at Edinburgh Fine Arts College, Scotland.
Among his solo Exhibitions there are: Dubai High School (1973), Lancaster Hotel Hyde Park, London, (1980), Al Ahli Club, Dubai (1992),Abu Dhabi Cultural Foundation (1992).
He has also participated in many group exhibitions, such as the annual exhibitions of the Emirates Fine Arts Society, as well as group exhibitions in Italy, Moscow, Japan, France, Australia, Egypt, Morocco, Lebanon, Kuwait, Syria, Qatar, and Germany.
Abdulrahman Zainal has been the recipient of many prizes, including the first prize at Doha Scout Camp (1969), the “Golden Dana”, Kuwait (1998), the second prize “Expressive Faces” (1998) and the second prize “Environment Day” (1998).
Abdulrahman Zainal is one of the artists representing the country at the UAE National Pavillion during the 56th Venice Biennale.
