Château de Versailles

Born as the centre of political power in France in 1682, in 1837 it became a museum “dedicated to the glories of France”.

Place d'Armes

Built in the 17th century, the estate was first a hunting lodge, then a seat of power and finally, it became a museum “dedicated to the glories of France,” in 1837. The estate is composed by the Palace, the gardens, the Park, the Trianon estate and several buildings in town.

Since 2008 the magnificent garden of the Château de Versailles has been used for contemporary art exhibitions and installations including artists such as Anish Kapoor, Lee Ufan, Xavier Veilhan and Jeff Koons.
