The Economy of Living Things

Jeu de Paume, 1 place de la Concorde, Jardin des Tuileries, 75008

“The Economy of Living Things” is part of the Satellite program at Jeu de Paume, Paris. Taking place at Jeu de Paume, CAPC musée d’art contemporain de Bordeaux, and Fondation Nationale des Arts Graphiques et Plastiques across 2017, the show is presenting the work of four international artists, spanning from visual art, archaeology, to music and literature. Composed as a series of five exhibitions, it takes as its point of departure the recording of lived experience and the state of human progress in the twenty-first century.

In coordination with each institution, the exhibition will unveil new works by Ali Cherri, Oscar Murillo, Steffani Jemison and Jumana Manna alongside a public program of events and related activities.

The first part of the series will be “Somniculus” by Ali Cherri, CAPC (February 2 – April 30, 2017) and Jeu de Paume (February 14 – May 28, 2017).
