Johannes Willi

Born in Basel, 1983 and lives in Basel, Switzerland

Johannes Willi earned a Bachelor in Style & Design at the ZHdK, Zurich in 2004 and a master at HGK FHNW Fine Arts, Basel (MA). He curated the art programme at Hinterhof Offspace in 2011 and 2012 and he is one of the founders of I Never Read, Art Book Fair Basel. His work explores hidden histories, formal affinities, and secret connections between events. Through his work, he prompts people to consider and see things differently. His practice is intuitive, and adapts to each project he works on: having worked with performance, installation, sculpture, live events, and the printed page.
