Fondazione Stelline
The historic institution in the heart of Milan was established in 1986 by the Lombardy Region and the City of Milan in front of one of the most deeply-rooted historical places in the history and art of our town, the Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci.
Today, the Foundation is a cultural hub for national and international projects, contemporary art exhibitions, talks, concerts, and host a Congress Center for fairs, congress and events.
Art and culture are the main ingredients that make this place a multifunctional pole, in a winning mix with the congress activity, where the primacy of culture is strengthened within the strategic plan for the development of tourism and economy under the sign of innovation and sustainability. Fondazione Stelline is recognized today as an important place of culture and planning, an inclusive and multidisciplinary reality located in the economic and cultural heart of the city of Milan. Exhibitions dedicated to contemporary art and great fine art photography, as well as concerts, readings, meetings, talks, publications and educational workshops, are actively inserted in the city’s schedule and carefully dialogue with the proposals and innovations of the international cultural scene.
Today the ancient palace lives again thanks to a restoration that preserves and enhances all its uniqueness: the stone staircases, the corridors of the cloister, now enriched by a beautiful polychrome mosaic floor created by Bobo Piccoli, and the monumental magnolia that has become the symbol of our venue. Fondazione Stelline offers flexible space for every exhibition need, in a unique and fascinating location, in the heart of Milan. Our building is now totally green, from LED lighting to energy autonomy with geothermal systems, served by the main public transport lines.
Due to the COVID-19 emergency and regulations, the opening times of the art space might
