Fondazione Dries Van Noten
Fondazione Dries Van Noten is a cultural non-profit institution dedicated to craftsmanship in Venice. Conceived by Dries Van Noten and Patrick Vangheluwe, the Foundation brings new life to the historic Palazzo Pisani Moretta, transforming one of the city’s most admired palazzi into a hub for curated artworks and contemporary dialogue.
At its core, the Foundation focuses on the human dimension of making, showcasing established and emerging creators across art, design, fashion, architecture, food, and beyond. These hybrid contributions offer perspectives on the contemporary artistic landscape while supporting dialogue and exchange between the creative community and the public.
The Foundation aims to highlight the importance of craftsmanship, understood in its broadest sense as the bodily, material, and imaginative practices through which culture takes shape. As a platform for makers, artisans, and emerging talents who carry cultural identity forward, its vision is based on the belief that creation flourishes where tradition and innovation meet, and that Venice—long a crossroads of imagination—can continue to serve as a catalyst for new ideas.
