Opened in 2024, Palazzo Diedo is Venice’s first major new space dedicated to contemporary art in over a decade. An exhibition space of Berggruen Arts & Culture, it was established to encourage the work of contemporary artists while fostering a dialogue between past and present, and between Eastern and Western artistic traditions.
The permanent collection comprises site-specific commissions by 11 internationally acclaimed artists: Urs Fischer, Piero Golia, Carsten Höller, Ibrahim Mahama, Mariko Mori, Sterling Ruby, Jim Shaw, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Aya Takano, Lee Ufan and Liu Wei.
