Cortesi Gallery, Milan
The Gallery focuses on European artistic movements from the ’60s to the present day.
The Gallery, which first opened in Lugano in 2013, thanks to the initiative of Stefano Cortesi along with his sons Andrea and Lorenzo, focuses on European artistic movements from the ’60s to the present day. As well as a venue in London, the Gallery opened a second venue in Milan.
The space is animated by a varied programme of displays produced in collaboration with specialists of the field, external curators, researchers, artists’ archives and foundations. Over the years, Cortesi Gallery has developed an exhibition agenda focused on Italian and international artists from the 20th Century and with a look to the contemporary art world. Between the past initiatives, the gallery has hosted major presentations of ZERO Group, New Tendencies, Optical, Kinetic, Conceptual and Minimal Art.
Each year, Cortesi Gallery participates to Italian and international major art fairs, such as: Tefaf Maastricht, The Armory Show (New York), Arte Fiera (Bologna), MIART (Milano), Masterpiece (London), BRAFA (Brussels) among others.
