Galeria da Gávea
Under the direction of Ana Stewart, Bruno Veiga and Isabel Amado, Galeria da Gávea, founded in 2009, Galeria da Gávea presents a curated selection of the scene of Brazilian contemporary photography.
The gallery promotes around five exhibitions per year, including solo and group shows, emphasizing curatorial research based in great aesthetic rigour.
To promote the production of its artists, the gallery search to deepen the relationship between photography and the visual arts circuit. Furthermore, it is also a platform of exchange and diffusion of ideas with developments into fairs, talks and publications releases.
Besides its twelve permanent artists represented in Rio de Janeiro, the gallery has also a collection with works from other artists kept in strict conservation standards.
