La Galleria Dorothea van der Koelen

Founded in 2001, La Galleria was born as the Venetian venue of the Galerie Dorothea van der Koelen in Mainz, which was brought to existence in 1979. Today Dr. Dorothea van der Koelen runs two galleries, a publishing house specialised in the history of art (Chorus Verlag), the Van der Koelen Consulting and the Van der Koelen Foundation for Art and Science, located since 2014 in Mainz at the CADORO – Zentrum für Kunst und Wissenschaft.
The cooperation with roughly 30 artists from 15 different countries is reflected in the myriad of exhibitions and publications, as well as in the gallery’s international exhibition management and global cooperation with museums and companies.
