Casa del Lago UNAM is the cultural centre of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), inaugurated in 1959. From the outset, it has embraced an experimental and avant-garde spirit, aiming to promote artistic creation while cultivating and forming new audiences. Its interdisciplinary and cross-cutting programme fosters diverse ways of thinking, critical reflection, and the convergence of languages, artistic generations, and inter-institutional dialogues.
The current programming encompasses areas such as music and soundscapes, literature and textualities, performing arts, cinema, digital culture, dissemination, and special projects. These include artist residencies, open calls, seminars, courses, and workshops, among other activities.
