Museo Universitario del Chopo

Founded in 1975, The Museo Universitario del Chopo generates dialogues within emerging cultural collectives and independent networks through cross-cutting programs addressed to the university community and the general public.

C. Dr. Enrique González Martínez 10-P. B, Sta María la Ribera, Cuauhtémoc
The MUAC is an open space for dialogue and transformation, promoting artistic, cultural, and community practices in an inclusive, participatory environment. It fosters ethical-political agency, enabling communities to interact, learn, and develop critical thought.

Conceived as a social centre in the form of a museum, the MUAC adapts to evolving needs, fostering art/politics intersections, cultural experimentation, and social movements. Aligned with the UNAM Institutional Development Plan, it aims to be a cultural hub for young people, while expanding its reach to other communities, including children and the elderly.
