FM Centro per l’Arte Contemporanea
FM Centre for Contemporary Art is a poli-functional space located in the former industrial complex Frigoriferi Milanesi
This centre is dedicated to art and art collections, bringing together all aspects related to the conservation and enhancement of private collections and artists’ estates. Located in the historic industrial complex of Frigoriferi Milanesi, it features an exhibition area showcasing Italian and international collections, a space for contemporary art galleries, an open storage facility for collectors wishing to make their collections accessible to the public, and a number of artists’ estates.
Furthermore, the centre organises a residency programme for artists and curators, a series of talks with collectors, and a screening programme. The art direction is entrusted to Marco Scotini, supported by an advisory board of international experts, including Charles Esche (Director, Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven), Hou Hanru (Artistic Director, MAXXI, Rome), Vasif Kortun (former Director of Research and Programmes, SALT, Istanbul), Grazia Quaroni (Senior Curator / Head of Collections, Fondation Cartier pour l’Art Contemporain, Paris), and Enea Righi (collector, Bologna).
FM Centre for Contemporary Art is supported by Open Care, the only company in Italy offering integrated services for the storage, management, and restoration of artworks and art collections.
