The National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) was founded in 1954, as a premier museum of modern art. It houses masterpieces of modern art spanning more than one hundred and fifty years history of Indian art. The museum is one of the main centres of modern and contemporary visual, plastic and new media arts.
