Institut Giacometti
The Institut Giacometti is a leading centre dedicated to the work of Alberto Giacometti, combining exhibitions, research and education in the heart of Montparnasse, where the artist lived and worked. Housed in a restored Art Deco mansion, it features a permanent reconstruction of Giacometti’s studio, bringing together his furniture, personal objects, drawings, murals and more than seventy sculptures, including exceptionally fragile works rarely or never shown publicly. Its programme of temporary exhibitions offers new perspectives on Giacometti, his contemporaries and his influence on contemporary art. A specialist library, research programmes, guided visits and workshops further extend the Institut’s mission to preserve, study and share his artistic legacy.
