Founded by the collector Marc Barbey, the selection spans the history of photography since its earliest days, with a special focus on Berlin and German photography.
Collection Regard‘s aim, in fact, is the discovery and re-discovery of significant photographers. In particular, the collections features an extensive selection of works by Hein Gorny (1904-1967), since its founder is entrusted with the administration of the estate. Further to the inventory of the still largely unknown oeuvre of Hein Gorny, the collection focuses on making the oeuvre accessible to the public.
Along with it, several solo exhibitions have been held within the space during the years, together with Photographic Salons (Salon Photographique), book presentations, film evenings or artist talks.
