ARCHITE[X]TURES displays works by the two photographers Margret Hoppe and Julien Lescoeur, young but established artists who both studied in Germany and France. The title of the exhibition merges the two base principles of their works, since their architecture images share a complementary vision, which highlights structures, materiality and textures.
Margret Hoppe presents a new series titled “Underexposed Modernism” along with architectural views of forgotten buildings from Thilo Schoder and Hans Scharoun in Thuringia and Saxony, while Julien Lescoeur exhibits two cycles both realised in Berlin: “Aérolithiques” and “Velvet Doom”.
