On the occasion of Tomás Saraceno’s exhibition at Palazzo Strozzi, Manifattura Tabacchi hosts a three-day event dedicated to the artist. During the “ARIA Days“, the artist’s giant aero solar sculptures will lift from the ground thanks only to the heat of the sun. The floating objects are part of wider research by Saraceno, aiming to find new ways of travelling without consuming fossils fuels. The event is the result of the collaboration between Manifattura Tabacchi, Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi and Aerocene Foundation, the interdisciplinary artistic community founded by Saraceno to develop ecological projects.
“ARIA Days” is also part o of the dedicated exhibition at Palazzo Strozzi and of the interdisciplinary programme of Manifattura Tabacchi NAM – Not A Museum.
The event will take place on Friday, September 11, from 1 pm – 4 pm, and on Saturday and Sunday, September 12–13, from 11 am – 4 pm.
