ICA SPEAKS: Nicole Eisenman
ICA welcomes painter and recent MacArthur “Genius” Fellowship recipient Nicole Eisenman, who is known for her paintings, drawings, and mixed-media works of cartoonish figures that evoke life-like pathos. Eisenman employs various techniques culled from art history to present a deeply personal, expressive body of work that explores matters of interpersonal, political, and economic interest relevant to the human condition. For its inaugural season, ICA Speaks features artists from the museum’s permanent collection, and highlights the strength of our holdings through original scholarship. ICA Speaks is made possible by the Lampert Family Foundation.
