Maria Loizidou: déshabillé

The Benaki Museum, 1 Koumbari St. & Vas. Sofias Ave.

The exhibition, curated by Yves Sabourin, deals with the artist’s proposal of a system of narrative production. The déshabillé proposal is articulated with a book, an audio interaction and the work of the artist and the curator as caretakers of the interior of a light industry passementerie in action.

Maria Loizidou is a visual artist, educated in Lyon, France and currently based in Nicosia, Cyprus. She has taken part in exhibitions such as the Venice Biennale of Art and Architecture and collaborated with several museums  such as Saint Etienne, Lyon, Istanbul, Athens and art galleries – Maria Lund, Paris, Kalfayan Gallery, Athens – .
