Explorers Film Club

The transformation of Basel's Dreispitz from production area to new urban district is the subject of artistic research in the "Explorers Film Club"

After having been for decades an inaccessible logistics and production area and and free port, for some years now, Basel’s Dreispitz area has been transformed into a mixed place for working, learning, creating art, and living.

Between spring 2020 and fall 2021, Dreispitz hosted artist residencies aiming to create a new film that represents their personal exploration of what they experienced.

The “Explorers Film Club” includes exhibitions, screenings, artist talks, studio visits.
