Hassan Darsi: Persistances
“Persistances” is the first solo exhibition in France by Hassan Darsi. Spanning more than thirty years of practice, the presentation is a collaborative project between La Kunsthalle Mulhouse and FRAC Champagne-Ardenne. The exhibition explores social, urban, and political transformations through various media, including installations, sculpture, film, photography, and performance.
Darsi uses these forms to examine the intersection of collective memory, political fiction, and material reality. A central element of the show is the “Applications dorure” series, where the artist uses gold as a symbolic tool to underscore power relations and contemporary economic structures.
By questioning the resonances of the past and the visible or invisible architectures of the world, the exhibition highlights the artist’s continuous exploration of how the world is constructed and reconfigured.
