Thinking Beyond – Moving Images for a Post-Pandemic World

Manifattura Tabacchi presents Thinking Beyond – Moving Images for a Post-Pandemic World, an exhibition that aims to celebrate the transformative power of art and the ability of artists to understand tragic and traumatic situations as opportunities to generate. 

The exhibition will present ten films, videos, and installations by artists under 35 participating in the 10th edition of VISIO. European Programme on Artists’ Moving Images – a project promoted and realized by the Schermo dell’Arte. 

“Thinking Beyond – Moving Images for a Post-Pandemic World” continues the research path of the Schermo dell’Arte on the artistic practice of young artists, which began with the six previous exhibitions organized at Manifattura Tabacchi (2020), Palazzo Strozzi (2019, 2015), Le Murate PAC (2018), Palazzo Medici Riccardi (2017) and Cinema La Compagnia (2016).

The artists were selected through an international call for ideas, and the project counts now more than 1000 artists based in Europe have participated in the program.
