Il rumore dell’alba

Spazio Sale opens in an early 20th century building in Lecce, transforming it into a multifunctional space aimed at the development and promotion of contemporary art. A place for research, action, experimentation, participation and innovation.

Spazio Sale’s inaugural exhibition “Il rumore dell’alba” is curated by Gerardo Giurin, founder of the AA29 art project, and artist Sasha Vinci, a collective project that marks the beginning of a new journey. The invited artists are: Anna Capolupo, Daniele Franzella, Lucas Memmola, Luigi Presicce, Matilde Sambo, Sasha Vinci. The works in the exhibition give life to an organic dimension that suggests personal ways of feeling the world, of observing the reality in which we live and exist.

“Il rumore dell’alba” is a wailing, the first cry after a long night of uncertainty. A nervous impulse that awakens anger and new imaginations. A marvellous and powerful din that becomes a metaphor for expressing and reflecting on social fractures in the age of globalisation. Imagining a new humanism that places respect for natural balances at the centre.

Spazio Sale wants to take root in the territory that hosts it, like a strong root, but at the same time to extend its branches-projects towards other realities to promote, through new strategies and innovative projects, different forms of creativity: public performances, artist residencies, installations and site-specific exhibitions, workshops, sound experimentation, independent art publications. One of the fundamental qualities of the project is to enhance the value of human relationships, creating authentic bonds with people and the territory.
