Alicia Reyes McNamara: Nowhere Else

South London Gallery presents “Nowhere Else”, a solo exhibition featuring sculpture, painting and video work by the artist Alicia Reyes McNamara. The works displayed in the show aim to challenge incomplete identities constructed by two-dimensional ideas of Latino culture: McNamara translates the Mexican American or Chicana identity through her explorations of language as a territory and space to challenge ideas of authenticity within a diaspora.
