Mark Bradford: Cerberus
First solo of Mark Bradford at Hauser & Wirth’s London, “Cerberus” gathers the new work of the artist sees Bradford return to ancient mythology, which is a consistent source of inspiration for the artist.
Engaging the many headed dog guarding the entryway to Hades, “Cerberus” is not only an exhibition dedicated to places difficult and in-between, where conflicts arise, where the hope of resolution is to be found, but also a resonant metaphor for Bradford, who has always been fascinated by interstitial spaces and figures.
