The Spirit of Painting: Cai Guo-Qiang at the Prado

For the first time in the museum history, el Prado is showcasing a major exhibition of contemporary artist Cai Guo-Qiang who has created an on-site installation at the museum.

This exhibition, which arises from Cai Guo-Qiang’s ongoing dialogue with El Greco and in which he establishes a relationship with the great masters represented in the Prado, comprises nearly 30 paintings made with gunpowder.
