Punk. Sus rastros en el arte contemporáneo

Punk is an attitude of discrepancy and rebellion against the economic, political, social and cultural system. The exhibition curated by David G. Torres, referring to the 40th anniversary of the emergence of punk, recovers a history of the movement, presents some of its protagonists and other authors whose works remain the main factors of the crisis of the seventies. Some of the most recurrent themes are noise, denial, nihilism, violence or sexuality. The exhibition was presented previously in the CA2M of the Community of Madrid, ARTIUM of Vitoria-Gasteiz and Museu d ‘Art Contemporani of Barcelona (MACBA); Now a sample version is exhibited in the Museo Universitario del Chopo that embraces the Mexican context.

More than forty national and international artists participate with works that include paintings, installations, photographs, videos and documentation.
