Elisabetta Benassi: Lady and Gentlemen
The Adolfo Pini Foundation presents Lady and Gentleman. The exhibition of Elisabetta Benassi, curated by Gabi Scardi, explores the figure and work of a Turin gallery owner – also active in Milan – Luciano Anselmino, who animates the Italian artistic environment between the 1960s and 1970s: the same ones in which the Milanese palace of Corso Garibaldi passes by Renzo Bongiovanni Radice, a shy and highly reserved painter, who has dedicated his entire life to painting, with a personal and introspective gaze, to his nephew Adolfo Pini, bon vivant, responsible for the testamentary legacy thanks to which the Foundation Adolfo Pini still exists. In those years, Italy experienced an international cultural ferment in which the impetuous activity of Anselmino, friend and companion of great artists of his time, from Man Ray to Andy Warhol, fits perfectly.
