Emilio Isgrò – Michelangelo Pistoletto. Arte Cittadinanza Rigenerazione
On the occasion of Milan Art Week, La Triennale di Milano hosts a public meeting with Emilio Isgrò and Michelangelo Pistoletto.
The two great artists exhibited their work during EXPO 2015 in a public space of the city of Milan.
In Piazza Duca d’Aosta, in front of the railway station, there is the “Regenerated Apple” by Michelangelo Pistoletto, while the great “Seme dell’Altissimo” by Emilio Isgrò stands among the trees not far from the Triennale di Milano. The art for these artists, belongs to the same generation, has the task of bringing into society an instance of responsibility and freedom. For both artists the work is not born as an act of denunciation but rather as a source of proposals. In both the initiative and the criticism, the work does not expire, indeed, leads to the creation of new conditions. Inspired and Pistoletto are among the artists who have undertaken very different research paths sharing the need.
