Hyper Visuality. Film & Video Art from the Wemhöner Collection
Palazzo Dugnani, Via Daniele Manin, 2
Within the rooms frescoed by 18th century Venetian school artists, the exhibition Hypervisuality, which contains six artist films from the Wemhöner Collection, aims to bridge the gap between the visible and the invisible in temporal perception, the invisibility of the time and visibility of the traces that time leaves in space.
The prefix “hyper” indicates a movement beyond the limit of what can be shown visually. Hypervisuality goes beyond this threshold with an incursion through the cinematographic art of alienation, bringing, for example, New Womendi Yang Fudong, Fragile and 2’59 ” by Masbedo, Playtime by Isaac Julien’s and The Swape Deep Gold by Julian Rosefeldt.
