Apophénies, interruptions: Artistes et intelligences artificielles au travail
The exhibition curated by Marcella Lista and Joseph del Pesco presents six installations exploring the intersection of artistic creation and artificial intelligence. It delves into AI’s implications, particularly the role of human intelligence in shaping creative processes and modifying AI systems. Themes include collective memory, the end of grand narratives, and colonial history, all framed by curiosity towards AI. While generative AI offers new tools for artistic exploration, it also alters how we perceive art. Concepts like “apophenia,” the misperception of connections, relate to AI’s algorithmic distortions and biases, which, despite human correction, still shape society and demand critical artistic inquiry.
