Haegue Yang: Quasi-ESP

The exhibition features two groups of works, the “Lacquer Paintings” and the “Hardware Store Collages” (ongoing since 1994). Yang attempts to implant a hybrid or an oscillating view between seemingly different phenomena in Quasi-ESP. While both groups have been steady studio practices, Quasi-ESP demonstrates their renewed state through a change of materiality and a shift from the topics they are usually associated with.
