Ismaïl Bahri

Born in 1978 in Tunis, to a Tunisian father and Swiss mother, Ismaïl Bahri lives and works between France and Tunisia. Privileging video and photography, drawing and installation art, Bahri has created a singular body of works over the past ten years, both elegant and coherent, infused with multiple cultural references.

The exhibition at Jeu de Paume — the first of this scale devoted to the artist — focuses on his video work and introduces visitors to a large selection of works created since the beginning of his career.
