Sally Mann: A Thousand Crossings

Curated by Sarah Greenough and Sarah Kennel, the show at Jeu de Paume is the first major retrospective of Sally Mann (Virginia, 1951). The artist has created over the course of 40 years experimental photographs that explore the essential themes of existence and her deep love for the life in the southern United States. “A Thousand Crossings” examines her relationship with her native region and how it has shaped her work.
