Tout Doit Disparaître

Centquatre Paris hosts the exhibition “TOUT DOIT DISPARAÎTRE” curated by Audrey Hoareau.

From the collection of the artist and publisher Jean – Marie Donat of more than 1000 vernacular images, postcards and slides dating from 1880 to 1990, the exhibition synthesises and questions the obsessions and mechanisms of the Western middle class with money, television and even Christmas.

Through the selection and accumulation of these images and their interactive presentation, the curator and collector highlight, in this ambitious exhibition, a way of life that is on the verge of collapse.
