The Body of a Painting

hunt kastner presents a solo show by the Czech artist Jaromír Novotný. For this exhibition,The Body of a Painting, Jaromír Novotný continues his research on color and medium to investigate the possibilities and limits of painting. Each piece, from monumental to small format, is showing its process of creation and appears to be ephemeral and fragile. The artist reveals with subtle details the body of the painting and gives to the viewer another way of approaching and contemplating it, as an autonomous surface which nevertheless interacts with the environment.
