Censored: An Ongoing Archive of Silenced Voices
“Censored” is an exhibition that addresses the regimes of visibility and power in contemporary society. Curated by Marco Scotini, it highlights works removed or pre-emptively withdrawn due to political censorship. The show explores state censorship, the alliance of market liberalism and nationalism, and the rise of authoritarianism. Featuring global artists whose works faced repression, “Censored” aims to document these acts of censorship, confronting the ongoing conflict between freedom of expression and cultural control. It urges viewers to take a stand in opposition to the global rise of oppressive forces.
