The exhibition looks at acts of charlatanism within the artistic realm. The curators Kiki Mazzucchelli and Maria Pontes are investigating methods employed by artists to deceive, delude, cheat and con their viewers, making use of such strategies both formally and conceptually in their work.

By choosing the as the hero of the show, the curators aim to incite reflection on a subject that is not only pertinent to art, but urgent to society. Charlatans, we know, are everywhere.
