The “Modern and Contemporary Brazilian Art Gallery” is a major permanent exhibition of the Museu Nacional de Belas Artes.

Divided into two floors, in the gallery we can see paintings, sculptures and engravings by artists such as Cândido Portinari, Willys de Castro, Beatriz Milhazes, Gonçalo Ivo, Timothy da Costa, Alex Flemming, Maria Bonomi, Fayga Ostrower, Gilvan Samico, Celso Antônio de Menezes, Franz Weissmann, Amilcar de Castro and others. All works pertain to the museum’s collection.
