The archive that Solon Ribeiro (b. 1960, Brazil) inherited from his grandfather comprises around thirty thousand stills from cinema.

The artist departs from this universe to create unusual relations between images from several films, which are put in dialogue both by the filmic structure as by the spacial display of the video-installations.
