Archeologie Contemporanee
MAST – Museo Archeologico di San Teodoro presents Archeologie Contemporanee, a group exhibition featuring works by Eleonora Desole, Laura Kaamos and Luigi Musa. The exhibition is curated by Silvia Baldereschi and Sara Durgali with Maria Lina Ruiu, and is realised with the patronage of the Comune di San Teodoro. It is open to the public from 30 May to 4 July 2026.
The show brings together site-specific installations, sculptures and drawings conceived in dialogue with the museum's archaeological character. The works are approached as material traces of the present — fragments that, observed from a future perspective, might speak of the themes and tensions of contemporary life: depopulation, the relationship between human beings and the natural environment, and the transmission of material culture across generations.
Each artist addresses a different aspect of this shared landscape. The exhibition is structured as a stratigraphic reading of the present, in which surface, intermediate layers and deeper strata correspond to immediate signs, collective memories and affective experience respectively.
The exhibition is accompanied by a public programme of screenings and participatory activities, including Ombre Corte, a midsummer solstice event on the evening of 20 June 2026.
